This year, the Swiss national broadcaster (Swiss Broadcasting Corporation) has organised a national final in order to select their entry for the Eurovision Song Contest which will be held at the Altice Arena in Lisbon, Portugal.
The winner of the eighth edition of the “Die Entscheidungsshow” – the Swiss national final has been chosen and the country will be represented by Zibbz with the song “Stones”. The winner was determined by the combination of public votes in a televoting process (50%) and the votes of an international jury from seven countries: Albania, Armenia, France, Germany, Iceland, Israel and Italy (the rest 50%). Timebelle, the Swiss representer from 2017, opened the show with a different version of their entry “Apollo”.

- Vanessa Irazi – Redlights (3rd place)
- Chiara Dubey – Secrets and lies (4th place)
- Angie Ott – A thousand times (5th place)
- Naeman – Kiss me (6th place)
Zibbz is a Swiss duo made of siblings Corinne Gfeller (32) and Stee Gfeller (30). They are from Zürich, Switzerland but currently based in Los Angeles. Their Eurovision entry “Stones” is an energetic power-pop-rock song with meaningful lyrics. They say that today nothing is easier than hurting and bullying other people on the Internet.
Since their debut in the first Eurovision Song Contest in Lugano 1956, Switzerland has participated fifty-eight times, and won the contest the same year in 1956 and 1988. This year Switzerland will be performing in the second half of the First Semi-Final on May 8th.
